Better than Google: Healthy Websites We Love

Posted .

At Advanced Dentistry of Blue Ash, we care about more than just your oral health. It’s our firm belief that your overall health directly contributes to the health of your teeth!
So, in that spirit, we’ve rounded up some of our favorite websites about all things health.

Healthywomen.org

Health tips for every stage of a woman’s life. No, really.
This site is a great one-stop shop for all things related to women’s health. They also have some fantastic tools to make sure you’re on target with key goals. Maybe we should all check out the Fatigue Severity Scale to make sure we’re getting enough sleep!
You won’t believe how many topics they cover, but it’s not overwhelming. Plus, the writing is engaging (read: it won’t put you to sleep).

YourDiseaseRisk.com

A Harvard doctor created this website dedicated to helping you assess your possible risk for a range of diseases. Obviously, the site doesn’t replace a doctor’s advice. However, it can give you enough information to help you start a healthy conversation with a medical professional.

HealthyChildren.org

Intuitive navigation and straightforward advice. Love it.
The American Academy of Pediatrics are the team behind this info-packed site, categorized based on the age and stage of your child. It even includes tools like a Symptom Checker and the latest pediatric news that can affect your family. The website is laid out so that it’s intuitive and incredibly easy to use. Bookmark this one for all things related to kid health.

Sproutedkitchen.com

Sprouted Kitchen’s amazing food + photography
If adding more veggies and seasonal ingredients to your diet is one of your New Year’s resolutions, this is the site for you. The bloggers, Sara and Hugh, bring it all to life with a great combo of unique recipes + beautiful photography. They definitely inspire us to try out veggies we’ve never considered, and the checking out the amazing food shots never gets old.

Mouthhealthy.org

The American Dental Association gives approachable dental tips.
You didn’t think we’d forget to include an oral health website, did you?!? This website, run by the American Dental Association, provides fantastic information for the average person who just wants to keep their mouth healthy (hence, the name). The dental tips are shared in a way that’s approachable, not preachy. You can even search for dental info by life stage, so you don’t have to sift through pages and pages to find the right oral health tip info for, say, your toddler.
We hope you enjoy these healthy blogs and websites as much as we do! Tell us what you think, and share your favorite blogs with us. We’d love to hear about what’s keeping you healthy.
All Smiles!
