We love dental hygiene. Do you?!?

Posted .

We get it. Not everyone gets nearly as excited about dental hygiene as we do.

What can we say? We love teeth. Well, more specifically, we love making your teeth look and feel amazing.

So, here are the top reasons why we should all love dental hygiene. (Yes, we are well aware of how nerdy that makes us sound.)
You might get more dates. Ok, we might have over-sold that, but you will have much better breath if you brush and floss. That alone makes it worth the effort. “I want halitosis,” said no one. Ever.
Your heart will thank you. It seems weird, but the plaque that builds on your teeth can actually make its way to your bloodstream (and eventually, to your heart). In fact, people with periodontal disease are twice as likely to have heart disease. Ouch. Sorry to the bearer of bad news.
Your baby will thank you. Expectant moms with poor dental hygiene are 7x more likely to have babies prematurely and/or at a low birth weight. While you’re taking your prenatal vitamins, be sure to keep those pearly whites clean, too!
All your teeth will stick around. In this day and age, it’s hard to imagine losing your teeth. Unfortunately, it can still happen. So, brush your teeth at least twice a day and floss once a day to keep ‘em around forever.
You will have the shortest dental visit ever, and your friends will be jealous. Clean teeth = no need for the dental hygienist to clean plaque off your teeth. It’s like dental nirvana.
While we don’t expect you to love dental hygiene as much as we do, we hope this has been educational. We all forget to floss from time to time, but hopefully these tips will keep it top of mind for you.
